Curated by Pontus Hultén, this exhibition was a major cultural event that explored the intersection of life, art, and radical politics in the wake of 1968. Inspired by the Lautréamont quote “Poetry must be made by all! Transform the world!”, it emphasized making art accessible, participatory, and a force for social change. The show was less a traditional art exhibition and more a intermedia interactive program of films, meetings, concerts, and photos, using the museum as a collaborative space. “This publication sees the avant-gardes of the 20s and 30s finding a partial realization in the events of May 68” (Loi 71). Includes early photomontages by Stuart and David Wise from King Mob, as well as photographs from the May 68 slogans.
