This copy was Børge Houmann’s copy (not signed). Houmann, a prominent Danish communist and resistance fighter, was working a translation of Joyce’s novel Ulysses, but tragically could not find the translation after the War. The manuscript had disappeared, apparently confiscated and later lost by Danish police, who got ahead of their German colleagues by lovingly caring for the Danish Communists….
