Extremely rare Danish avantgarde art photobook – ‘Conceptual Art Photo Novel ‘or ‘Foto Short Story’ – chosen as one the 28 most important Danish photo books for the catalogue and exhibition ’28 Danish Photographic Books’ (2006) in connection with exhibition ‘The Open Book’ by The Hasselblad Centre (2004). A quite mysterious book consisting of a series of repetitious black and white photos of a young woman wearing a long coat and sunglasses in a snowy city park. She (Marianne? – the book’s only text is a printed dedication ‘to Marianne’) is standing, sometimes lying, sometimes face down, in the snow – is it ritual, is it a crime documented?. Most probably inspired by Robert Smithson and his conceptual art theorem of ‘Site’ and ‘Non-site’ – but also Gerhard Richter’s photography practice comes to mind. – This copy inscribed by the artist to Danish art critic Pierre Lübecker
