‘En hymne til Irland’ is Danish photographer Kirsten Klein’s (b. 1945) main work and among the finest photobooks published in Denmark. Kirsten Klein’s Ireland photo book bears great resemblance to the Scottish photographies by Paul Strand. It is a major work in scandinavian photography and the first edition from 1998 was chosen as one the 28 most important Danish photo books for the catalogue and exhibition ’28 Danish Photographic Books’ (2006) in connection with exhibition ‘The Open Book’ by The Hasselblad Centre 2004
