‘København ved Nat. 48 Fotografier udført i Dybtryk efter Optagelser af Hermann Larsen’ (full title in English: ‘Copenhagen by Night. 48 Gravure Photographs from Exposures by Hermann Larsen’ ) contains 48 very finely printed magic foggy night sceneries from Copenhagen inspired by Brassaï’s ‘Paris de Nuit’ (1932). It is one of the very first Danish photobooks (intended as a photobook and not just a book illustrated with photographs) and still among the most beautiful. Chosen as one the 28 most important Danish photo books for the catalogue and exhibition ’28 Danish Photographic Books’ (2006) in connection with exhibition ‘The Open Book’ by The Hasselblad Centre (2004).
